Mal exemplo! / Bad example!

"Yesterday I ordered delivery and the guy brought $ 7 change in coins of $ 0.10! Today I ordered from the same place and paid $ 81 in coins! Now I'm satisfied!" Wrote Junior Lima on Twitter.

That's the attitude I meant in yesterday's post (http://ferfoodnfun.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/dona-maria-granny-maria.html), when trying to understand/explain why "change" causes discomfort in most people.

I don't like having my handbag full of coins either, it's heavy! But if someone gives me back the change in coins because they don't have the equivalent in notes, I'd never feel tempted to "get even" or, using a silly pun, to "payback"!

Junior had to spend $ 81.00 to give a "payback" to the pizzeria's manager who simply did his duty. Actually, who had to 'carry the can' or, in this case, 'carry the bag of coins' was the delivery guy - I don't know if they were all $ 0.10 coins!

Anyway, thanks to Junior for making my point so well and would like also to congratulate the pizzeria - Junior didn't reveal the name of the place - and also suggest that they send along with the change, when it is a ton of coins, an apology for the inconvenience. I believe that this attitude would be enough to calm the nerves of those who take offense to receive their change in coins.

Not everyone had a Granny Maria ... :-)
